Preliminary Acceptance definition

Preliminary Acceptance of the Facilities means that the Facilities have been completed operationally and structurally and put in a tight and clean condition, and that all work in respect of Pre-commissioning of the Facilities have been completed; in other words, that the Facilities are fit for Start-up & Commissioning and Preliminary Acceptance Certificate has been issued as provided in Clause 24 (Preliminary Acceptance) hereof.
Preliminary Acceptance means the specific acceptance if so described in the Quotation or Technical Specifications (if not just Acceptance).
Preliminary Acceptance as used in this contract refers to the Government’s conditional acceptance of the vessels/craft in accordance with the text entitled “Delivery of Completed Vessel” after successful completion of the applicable testing and trial requirements and upon delivery as set forth in Section F of the contract. The Contractor shall prepare and furnish to the Contracting Officer a DD Form 250 in accordance with DFARS 252-246.7000 entitled “Material Inspection and Receiving Report” which is to be incorporated into the Preliminary Acceptance documentation.

More Definitions of Preliminary Acceptance

Preliminary Acceptance indicates the buyer’s acceptance of each set of contractual equipments after the results of performance acceptance test demonstrate that the contractual equipments satisfy the guarantee values as specified in Appendix 1 of this contract.

Preliminary Acceptance means the date on which the Board has determined that the Work required under the Contract Documents has been essentially completed for a Project (except for Punch List Work), such that the Users may occupy and fully use the Work, or, if the nature of the Work requires that a Certificate of Occupancy be issued, it means the date of issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy.

In either case, such Hardware shall be deemed accepted upon failure of Buyer to notify Contractor in writing within the above five (5) business days that it is accepted, rejected or that in Buyer's opinion further corrective action must be taken by the Contractor. In the event that Buyer has not given Preliminary Acceptance of the Spacecraft, Contractor shall not ship the Spacecraft from Contractor's facility without Buyer's prior written consent. Any such Preliminary Acceptance shall not constitute a "Consent to Fuel" nor a "Final Acceptance", which shall occur pursuant to Paragraphs 9.3 and 9.4, respectively.
