Pre-Existing Condition definition

Pre-Existing Condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the 180 day period immediately prior to the Effective Date of Your coverage for which You or Your Traveling Companion, Business Partner or Family Member: 1) received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment; or 2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item (2) of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 180 day period before Your coverage is effective under this policy.
Pre-Existing Condition means a mental or physical condition whether or not diagnosed or misdiagnosed for which you have consulted a Physician or other licensed medical professional, received medical treatment, services or advice, undergone diagnostic procedures, including self-administered procedures, or taken prescribed drugs or medications at any time during the 3 month period just before the effective date of your insurance under the Group Policy.
Pre-Existing Condition means an ailment, illness, or condition that, in the opinion of a medical practitioner appointed by Latrobe, existed at any time in the previous six months to the day on which the insured person became insured under their health insurance policy (section 75-15 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007).
