Practical Training definition

Practical Training has the meaning set forth in Clause 16.8.2.
Practical Training means a purposeful activity organised to achieve learning outcomes, aimed at applying acquired knowledge and skills in a working environment using the format of practical work and/or independent work under dual supervision (a supervisor from the facility of practical training and one from the College).

  • The Contractor shall, if required by the Purchaser, provide facilities for the Practical Training of Purchaser’s Engineering or Technical Personnel from India and for their active association on the manufacturing process throughout the manufacturing period of the Contract/Stores, number of such personnel to be mutually agreed upon.

  • Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an academic experience usually obtained at off- campus work settings, allowing the student to apply knowledge and skills gained in various classes.

  • STEM OPT extension students are eligible for a maximum of twenty-four months coverage.Optional Practical Training students who fail to maintain Optional Practical Training eligibility or who have transitioned to H-1B status will no longer be eligible for coverage.

  • Optional Practical TrainingAn eligible Optional Practical Training student with the applicable F-1 Visa may be considered eligible for coverage for aperiod of time no longer than twelve months from the date the student is approved for OPT while he or she is participating in Optional Practical Training work which is directly related to the major area of study.

  • Those in F-1 status who are currently involved in post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) through one school and want to begin a new degree program at another U.S. school.2. The Designated School Official (DSO) at the applicant’s current institution should complete the Transfer Eligibility Form and email/fax/mail it to the Regent University DSO at intladmissions@regent.edu.
