Objects of the Society definition

Objects of the Society means the Objects as provided by section 4 Lloyd’s Act, 1911;

  • Members agree to be bound by the rules of the Society which require that the conduct of members is not prejudicial to the Objects of the Society.

  • The sanction of expulsion from the Society shall be applied to any Member who’s conduct has been determined to: have materially disrupted the working of the Society; have brought (or have risked bringing) the Society into disrepute; be otherwise detrimental to the Objects of the Society or the best interests of the Society.

  • The Representatives’ Committee shall be a forum for debate and discussion on all matters concerning the implementation of the Objects of the Society, and may make recommendations for consideration by the Board of Trustees.

  • If any member indulges in any activity detrimental to the Aims and Objects of the Society, on the activity coming to the knowledge of the Society and the Governing Body deciding to terminate the membership.

  • All Members agree to be bound by these rules, and to support the Purpose and Objects of the Society.

Related to Objects of the Society

  • Address of the Society means the address of the Society as filed from time to time with the Registrar in the Notice of Address;

  • the Society means the Society of Actuaries in Ireland

  • Surface waters of the state means perennial and seasonal streams, lakes, ponds, and tidal waters within the jurisdiction of the state, including all streams, lakes, or ponds bordering on the state, marshes, water courses, and other bodies of water, natural or artificial.

  • building society means a building society registered under the Building Societies Act (Cap. 489);

  • Waters of the State means the ocean and its estuaries, all springs, streams, wetlands, and bodies of surface or groundwater, whether natural or artificial, within the boundaries of the State of New Jersey or subject to its jurisdiction.

  • Emergency medical condition means a medical condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that the absence of immediate medical attention could reasonably be expected to result in any of the following:

  • Classification Society or “Class” means the Society referred to in line 4.

  • Approved Classification Society means, in relation to a Ship, a classification society which is a member of IACS (other than the China Classification Society and the Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping) and acceptable to the Agent;

  • Society means a society established under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 (21 of 1860) or any other society established under any State or Central law for the time being in force.

  • psychiatric emergency medical condition means a Mental Disorder that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity that it renders the patient as being either of the following:

  • Flood Boundary and Floodway Map (FBFM means an official map of a community, issued by the FEMA, on which the Special Flood Hazard Areas and the floodways are delineated. This official map is a supplement to and shall be used in conjunction with the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).
