Members of the Society definition

Members of the Society means those people who have been elected or admitted to a grade of membership of the Society referred to in clause 6 and, in the case of disciplinary proceedings, will include a person who was a member at the time the act or omission that forms the subject of a disciplinary investigation occurred;

Examples of Members of the Society in a sentence

  • All Members of the Society and the Board of Directors shall be bound by such Regulations whether or not they have received a copy of them.

  • Subject to these Rules, the Directors may delegate any of the powers which are conferred on them under these Rules to any Person or committee consisting of Members of the Society, by such means, to such an extent, in relation to such matters and on such terms and conditions as they think fit.

  • The chairperson of the meeting may permit other persons who are not Members of the Society to attend and speak at general meetings, without granting any voting rights.

  • If within one month from the date of the receipt of the application the Board have not convened a general meeting to be held within six weeks of the application, any three Members of the Society acting on behalf of the signatories to the application may convene a general meeting, and shall be reimbursed by the Society for any costs incurred in convening such a meeting.

  • The Members of the Society are those whose names are listed in its Register of Members.

  • The first Members of the Society shall be those who signed the application for registration.

  • Members of the Society will be rewarded primarily through a social dividend rather than a monetary dividend.

  • On foot of a submission to the Societies Office of a petition signed by not less than 75 Members of the Society or 33% of the membership, whichever is smaller.

Related to Members of the Society

  • Waters of the State means the ocean and its estuaries, all springs, streams, wetlands, and bodies of surface or groundwater, whether natural or artificial, within the boundaries of the State of New Jersey or subject to its jurisdiction.

  • Members of the Immediate Family means with respect to any individual, each parent (whether by birth or adoption), spouse, or child or other descendants (whether by birth or adoption) of such individual, each spouse of any of the aforementioned Persons, each trust created solely for the benefit of such individual and/or one or more of the aforementioned Persons, and each legal representative of such individual or of any aforementioned Persons (including without limitation a tutor, curator, mandatary due to incapacity, custodian, guardian or testamentary executor), acting in such capacity under the authority of the law, an order from a competent tribunal, a will or a mandate in case of incapacity or similar instrument. For the purposes of this definition, a Person shall be considered the spouse of an individual if such Person is legally married to such individual, lives in a civil union with such individual or is the common law partner (as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) as amended from time to time) of such individual. A Person who was the spouse of an individual within the meaning of this paragraph immediately before the death of such individual shall continue to be considered a spouse of such individual after the death of such individual;

  • Surface waters of the state means perennial and seasonal streams, lakes, ponds, and tidal waters within the jurisdiction of the state, including all streams, lakes, or ponds bordering on the state, marshes, water courses, and other bodies of water, natural or artificial.

  • teachers of the University means Professors, Readers, Lecturers and such other persons as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conducting research in the University or in any College or Institution maintained by the University and are designated as teachers by the Ordinances;

  • Members means all such Persons.

  • Medical Board means the North Carolina Medical Board.

  • Lead Member of the Bidding Consortium or “Lead Member” shall mean a company who commits at least 26% equity stake in the Project, meets the technical requirement as per Clause 2.1.2and so designated by other Member(s) in Bidding Consortium;

  • Board Members means the Directors or Trustees of the governing body of the Fund, as the case may be.

  • Waters of this state means any waters within the territorial limits of this state.

  • Majority Participants means the Holder(s) of more than 50% of the Outstanding VMTP Shares.

  • Member of the judge s family” means a spouse, domestic partner, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, or other relative or person with whom the judge maintains a close familial relationship. See Rules 3.7, 3.8, 3.10, and 3.11.

  • Umpire means the third arbitrator appointed pursuant to Section 7.03 (c).

  • School board means the governing board of directors of the local school district.

  • absolute majority , of the Committee, means a majority of the committee members currently holding office and entitled to vote at the time (as distinct from a majority of committee members present at a committee meeting);

  • MUSL Board means the governing body of the MUSL, which is comprised of the chief executive officer of each Party Lottery.

  • Waters of the United States or "waters of the U.S." means:

  • Member of the Service means a person appointed in a substantive capacity under the provisions of these rules and orders/rules in force previous to the commencement of these rules, to a post in the cadre of the service.

  • Consenting Stakeholders has the meaning set forth in the preamble to this Agreement.

  • Resolution of Directors means either:

  • entire Board of Directors means the total number of directors which the Corporation would have if there were no vacancies.

  • Members of the General Assembly means each member of the Senate of Virginia and the House of

  • Independent Directors means the members of the Board of Directors who are not officers or employees of the Manager or any Person directly or indirectly controlling or controlled by the Manager, and who are otherwise “independent” in accordance with the NYSE’s corporate governance listing standards (or the rules of any other national securities exchange on which the Common Stock is listed).
