This Section applies to all requests for modification of clinical privileges during the term of appointment (increases and relinquishments), resignation from the Medical Staff or as an Advanced Practice Professional or Licensed Independent Practitioner, and waivers related to eligibility criteria for clinical privileges or the scope of those privileges.
If the Board makes any of the above determinations without an adverse recommendation by the MEC, an Advanced Practice Professional or Licensed Independent Practitioner would also be entitled to request a hearing.
Whenever the questions raised concern the clinical competence of the individual under review, the ad hoc committee shall include a peer of the individual (e.g., physician, dentist, podiatrist, oral surgeon, or relevant discipline of Advanced Practice Professional or Licensed Independent Practitioner).
