Investment Directions definition

Investment Directions. The Committee shall provide written investment directions to the Trustee, except as otherwise provided in Section 2.5 with respect to amounts in an Executive Officer Participant's Basic, Deferral, and Matching Accounts. The investment directions shall be in accordance with Sections 2.5, 2.8 and the terms of the Plan. In no event, however, shall investment rights be exercisable by or rest with Plan Participants, except as otherwise provided in Section 2.5 with respect to amounts in an Executive Officer Participant's Basic, Deferral, and Matching Accounts.
Investment Directions. The Committee shall provide written investment directions to the Trustee. The investment directions shall be in accordance with Sections 2.5, 2.8 and with the terms of the Plan.
Investment Directions means the Investment Quality Standards and Investment Objectives and Strategies, if any, and the investment guidelines and principles that the Foundation may from time to time adopt pertaining to the Fund, and the investment instructions and directions that it may from time to time transmit to Investment Counsel.

Examples of Investment Directions in a sentence

  • All investment risk shall be borne by the Policyholder: any investment income or loss resulting from investment of the funds according to the Investment Directions chosen by the Policyholder changes the price of the Investment Units respectively, i.e. it may both increase and decrease.

  • Transferred assets shall be considered as contributions hereunder to which the then current Investment Directions of the Participant involved is to apply.

  • The funds of each Investment Direction shall be invested according to the strategy of this Investment Direction which shall be made available to the Policyholder prior to choosing the Investment Directions and which is publicly available on the website of the Insurer as well as at the Customer Service Units.

  • If the Policyholder fails to inform of his/her decision until the day of cancellation of the Investment Direction, the Insurer shall be entitled to reinvest the funds accumulated in the Investment Direction to be cancelled and payable Insurance Premiums at his/her own discretion into one of the Investment Directions offered at that date or reinvest them proportionately into other Investment Directions where other funds of the Policyholder are invested.

  • If one of the Investment Directions is cancelled, the Insurer undertakes to inform the Policyholder in writing or through the E-life system of the Investment Direction to be cancelled within the reasonable period of time.

  • Custodian acts on the Investment Directions provided by the Account Owner and has no responsibility for the performance or suitability of the assets selected by the Account Owner.

  • Assignment of the Investment Directions and calculation of the Investment Units, establishment of the Investment Structure of the Accumulated Amount under the Contract shall be based on the Procedure for Administration of Investment Insurance Contracts.

  • We act on the Investment Directions provided by you and have no responsibility for the performance or suitability of the assets selected by you.

  • It is noted that the sample size for the London region is small and analysis should be approached with caution.

  • Investment Unit shall mean the conditional part of the Investment Direction's value whose price varies depending on the different prices of securities belonging to the particular Investment Direction.

Related to Investment Directions

  • Federal covered investment adviser means a person registered under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

  • Participant Direction Procedures means such instructions, guidelines or policies, the terms of which are incorporated herein, as shall be established pursuant to Section 4.10 and observed by the Administrator and applied and provided to Participants who have Participant Directed Accounts.

  • Investment Committee means the committee in charge of investment aspects of the Plan, as described in Article VII.

  • Investment Adviser or "Adviser" means a party furnishing services to the Trust pursuant to any contract described in Article IV, Section 7(a) hereof;

  • Investment Guidelines means the investment guidelines approved by the Board, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, as the same may be amended, restated, modified, supplemented or waived pursuant to the approval of a majority of the entire Board (which must include a majority of the Independent Directors).

  • Investment Funds means all monies and financial resources available for investment by the Authority, other than proceeds of bonds issued by the Authority.

  • Investment Decisions Investment, trading, lending or other financial decisions, strategies or recommendations with respect to Investments, whether on behalf of the Master Servicer or any Affiliate thereof, the Special Servicer or any Affiliate thereof, the Operating Advisor or any Affiliate thereof, the Certificate Administrator or any Affiliate thereof, or the Trustee or any Affiliate thereof, as applicable, or any Person on whose behalf the Master Servicer or any Affiliate thereof, the Special Servicer or any Affiliate thereof, the Operating Advisor or any Affiliate thereof, the Certificate Administrator or any Affiliate thereof, or the Trustee or any Affiliate thereof, as applicable, has discretion in connection with Investments.

  • Investment Election means the Participant’s election to have deferred amounts credited with hypothetical earnings credits (or losses) that track the investment performance of the Investment Options and/or Common Stock in accordance with Article V.

  • Investment Advisor means, in relation to a Portfolio, the investment manager or investment advisor of the Portfolio.

  • Canadian Investment Manager designation means the designation earned through the Canadian investment manager program prepared and administered by CSI Global Education Inc. and so named on the day this Instrument comes into force, and every program that preceded that program, or succeeded that program, that does not have a significantly reduced scope and content when compared to the scope and content of the first-mentioned program;

  • Investment Account As defined in Section 3.12(a).

  • Usage directions means the text or graphics on the product's principal display panel, label, or accompanying literature which describes to the end user how and in what quantity the product is to be used.

  • Investment Options means the investment options, as determined from time to time by the Committee, used to credit earnings, gains and losses on Account balances.

  • Directions means the directions contemplated in section 27(2) of the Act, issued by a Cabinet member relating to his or her line functions, after consultation with the Cabinet members responsible for cooperative governance and traditional affairs and justice and correctional services;

  • Investment Policies has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 3.11(c).

  • Investment Manager or “Manager” shall mean a party furnishing services to the Trust pursuant to any contract described in Section 4.8 hereof;

  • Investment Accounts means the Collateral Account, Securities Accounts, Commodities Accounts and Deposit Accounts.

  • Investment adviser representative means an individual employed by or associated with an investment adviser or federal covered investment adviser and who makes any recommendations or otherwise gives investment advice regarding securities, manages accounts or portfolios of clients, determines which recommendation or advice regarding securities should be given, provides investment advice or holds herself or himself out as providing investment advice, receives compensation to solicit, offer, or negotiate for the sale of or for selling investment advice, or supervises employees who perform any of the foregoing. The term does not include an individual who:

  • Authorized Investments means: any investment which may be authorized by the Commission but does not include restricted investments as specified in the Offering Documents from time to time.

  • Liquidity Account Investments means Deposit Securities or any other security or investment owned by the Fund that is rated not less than A3 by Moody’s, A- by Standard & Poor’s, A- by Fitch or an equivalent rating by any other NRSRO (or any such rating’s future equivalent).

  • Investment Strategy is the processes and policies implemented by the Investment Manager for pursuing a particular investment objective managed by an Investment Team.

  • Equity Account Administrator means the brokerage firm utilized by the Company from time to time to create and administer accounts for participants in the Company’s equity plans and programs, including the Plan.

  • Investment Management Services means any services which involve: (i) the management of an investment account or Fund (or portions thereof or a group of investment accounts or Funds); (ii) the giving of advice with respect to the investment and/or reinvestment of assets or funds (or any group of assets or funds); or (iii) otherwise acting as an “investment adviser” within the meaning of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as amended, including, without limitation, in each of the foregoing cases, performing activities related or incidental thereto.

  • Investment Client means (i) any investment company registered as such under the Investment Company Act, any series thereof, or any component of such series for which the Adviser acts as investment adviser; or (ii) any private account for which the Adviser acts as investment adviser.

  • Investment Program means a Person for whom Shipper or a direct or indirect subsidiary of Shipper acts as a general partner, managing partner or manager and the securities of which have been offered and sold to investors.

  • Investment means, as to any Person, any direct or indirect acquisition or investment by such Person, whether by means of (a) the purchase or other acquisition of capital stock or other securities of another Person, (b) a loan, advance or capital contribution to, Guarantee or assumption of debt of, or purchase or other acquisition of any other debt or equity participation or interest in, another Person, including any partnership or joint venture interest in such other Person and any arrangement pursuant to which the investor Guarantees Indebtedness of such other Person, or (c) the purchase or other acquisition (in one transaction or a series of transactions) of assets of another Person that constitute a business unit. For purposes of covenant compliance, the amount of any Investment shall be the amount actually invested, without adjustment for subsequent increases or decreases in the value of such Investment.
