Initial Test Well definition

Initial Test Well is set out in the Preamble as the South Timbalier 287, OCS-G 24987 #A-8 Well.
Initial Test Well means the initial test well drilled on a proration unit within an approved Prospect Area.
Initial Test Well shall be the first Exploratory Well proposed by Chevron and drilled after the Effective Date of this Agreement on each Prospect located on an Exhibit "A" or "B" Lease, or on lands pooled or unitized with an Exhibit "A" or "B" Lease, or on a Prospect which includes all or a portion of an Exhibit "A" or "B" Lease.

Examples of Initial Test Well in a sentence

  • Both Farmor and Farmee shall be a party to said JOA and such JOA shall control all operations on the Initial Test Well, or its Substitute, and any subsequent operations conducted on the Farmout Acreage.

  • All operations on the Initial Test Well and any and all subsequent operations on the CPA shall be conducted in accordance with the terms and provisions of the OOA.

  • In addition, Ridgewood shall be entitled to an assignment of fifty percent (50%) of the Record Title interest in the entirety of the Newfield Lease provided it participates in the drilling of the Initial Test Well or substitute(s) thereof to Contract Depth as defined in the Farmout Agreement.

Initial Test Well means the initial test well drilled on a proration unit within an approved Prospect Area. 1.9 “Jointly Owned Leases or Oil and Gas Interests” shall be those leases and Oil and Gas Interests within the AMI acquired from third parties subsequent to the date hereof in which both RIATA and MANTI acquire an interest pursuant to Article 7 hereof. 1.10 “AFE” shall mean an Authorization for Expenditure prepared by a party to this Agreement to; (a) acquire geological data, to acquire and/or reprocess geophysical data; or (b) acquire Leasehold inclusive of brokerage and/or title curative costs; or (c) drill any well under the terms of this Agreement. 1.11 “Party” shall mean either RIATA or MANTI. “Parties” shall mean RIATA and MANTI collectively. 1.12 “Fina Agreement” shall mean that certain Agreement dated June 1, 1995 by and between RIATA and Fina Oil and Chemical Company.
