Hazardous Substances definition

Hazardous Substances means any toxic or hazardous substances, materials, wastes, contaminants or pollutants, including asbestos, PCBs, petroleum products and byproducts, and any substances defined or listed as "hazardous substances," "hazardous materials," "hazardous wastes" or "toxic substances" (or similarly identified), regulated under or forming the basis for liability under any applicable Environmental Law.

Hazardous Substances means any substances defined or designated as hazardous or toxic waste, hazardous or toxic material, hazardous or toxic substance or similar term, by any environmental statute, rule or regulation of any governmental entity presently in effect and applicable to such real property.

Hazardous Substances means any toxic or hazardous substances, material or waste, including Medical Waste, or any pollutant or contaminant, or infectious or radioactive substance or material, including without limitation, those substances, materials and wastes defined in or regulated under any Environmental Laws.

Examples of Hazardous Substances in a sentence

• In the event that the Environmental Laws require additional corrective action to be taken to address the Hazardous Substances in or about the Leased Premises described or identified in the City of Coldwater and AMP Due Diligence: Phase I and Baseline Environmental Assessment\BEA, dated January 30, 2015 and as updated and amended February 20, 2015, respectively, Lessor shall have the right to enter the Leased Premises to perform any such required additional corrective action.

• Nothing in this Article will be construed to make Company liable in any way for any environmental impacts or release of Hazardous Substances, as defined herein, affecting the Airport that occurred prior to Company’s entry upon the Airport or that occurred as a result of the actions of Authority or any of its employees, agents, or contractors.

• The City of Belfast will utilize this USEPA Brownfields Assessment funding to continue to implement and improve its existing comprehensive community-wide Brownfields Assessment Program, both for Hazardous Substances and for Petroleum, with an emphasis on identified target areas (Census Block Groups 230270430001 and 230270430003).

• Promptly upon the Lessee's actual knowledge of the presence of Hazardous Substances in any portion of the Property in concentrations and conditions that constitute or could reasonably be expected to constitute an Environmental Violation (excluding any such Environmental Violation that is a Pre- Existing Environmental Condition), the Lessee shall notify the Lessor in writing of such condition.

• Nothing in this Article will be construed to make Company liable in any way for any environmental impacts or release of Hazardous Substances affecting the Airport that occurs by reason of the migration or flow to the Airport premises from verifiable or documented off-site environmental contamination that is not attributable to Company’s activities.

Hazardous Substances means any toxic, radioactive, caustic or otherwise hazardous substance, including petroleum, its derivatives, by-products and other hydrocarbons, or any substance having any constituent elements displaying any of the foregoing characteristics.

Hazardous Substances means (A) petroleum and petroleum products, by-products or breakdown products, radioactive materials, asbestos-containing materials, polychlorinated biphenyls and mold, and (B) any other chemical, material or substance defined or regulated as toxic or hazardous or as a pollutant, contaminant or waste under Environmental Laws.

Hazardous Substances means any pollutant, contaminant, waste or chemical or any toxic, radioactive, corrosive, reactive or otherwise hazardous substance, waste or material, or any substance having any constituent elements displaying any of the foregoing characteristics, including, without limitation, petroleum, its derivatives, by-products and other hydrocarbons, or any substance, waste or material regulated under any Environmental Laws.

Hazardous Substances means industrial, toxic or hazardous substances or wastes or other pollutants, contaminants, petroleum products, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls ("PCBs") or chemicals, all as defined and regulated under Environmental Law.

Hazardous Substances mean materials that, because of their quantity, concentration or physical, chemical or infectious characteristics, may cause or pose a present or potential hazard to human health or the environment when improperly used, treated, stored, disposed of, generated, manufactured, transported or otherwise handled. The words "Hazardous Substances" are used in their very broadest sense and include without limitation any and all hazardous or toxic substances, materials or waste as defined by or listed under the Environmental Laws. The term "Hazardous Substances" also includes, without limitation, petroleum and petroleum by-products or any fraction thereof and asbestos.

Hazardous Substances means any substance, material or waste that is or becomes designated or regulated as "toxic," "hazardous," "pollutant," or "contaminant" or a similar designation or regulation under any federal, state or local law (whether under common law, statute, regulation or otherwise) or judicial or administrative interpretation of such, including petroleum or natural gas. This indemnity will survive repayment of all other Obligations.

Hazardous Substances means any chemical, biological or radiological material or substance that is (1) regulated as potentially harmful to human health, the environment, or natural resources or (2) defined as a “hazardous substance” or “hazardous waste”, in each case, under any Environmental Law.
