Fuel Use definition

Fuel Use has the meaning set forth in Section 4.4.1.
Fuel Use means the amount of fuel, expressed in both physical units such as cubic foot, barrel, or ton, and in heat content such as Btus, used for gross generation, or for any other purpose related to the operation of an electric generator including without limitation providing spinning reserve, start-up, or flame stabilization.
Fuel Use means the woody biomass fuel used to generate electricity or thermal output to serve on-site load or for the generation of electricity to deliver Product to Buyer (in bone dry tons).

Examples of Fuel Use in a sentence

  • Such log shall include, but not be limited to, information on power production, fuel consumption, efficiency, availability, maintenance performed, outages, results of inspections, manufacturer recommended services, replacements, electrical characteristics of the generators, control settings or adjustments of equipment, protective devices, information and documentation related to Fuel Use and the Fuel Resource Requirements, and any other pertinent information that affects plant operations.

  • With respect to Fuel Use and the Fuel Resource Requirements, Buyer shall have the right to request all supporting documentation reasonably necessary to determine the accuracy and completeness of any Fuel Attestation submitted by Seller to Buyer.

  • The fuel resource(s) Seller used or caused to be used to operate the Facility during the Contract Year (Fuel Use) [met] [did not meet] the Fuel Resource Requirements.

  • The Fuel Use Default Payment is calculated by the number of MWhs of Delivered Energy and Paid Curtailed Product provided by the Seller to Buyer from January 1 of the applicable Calendar Year(s) to the Early Termination Date multiplied by the difference between (a) $199.72/MWh adjusted for XXX Factors and (b) the Contract Price adjusted for XXX Factors.

  • Buyer may make reasonable changes to the template to accommodate additional information on High Hazard Fuel and Fuel Use during the Calendar Year.

  • Sixty percent (60%) of of Fuel Use, measured in Bone Dry Tons, that is delivered to the Facility and used by the Facility during each Calendar Year, shall be from High Hazard Fuel, as measured pursuant to Appendix L (“High Hazard Fuel Requirement”).

  • The fuel resource(s) Seller used or caused to be used to operate the Facility during the Calendar Year (Fuel Use) [met] [did not meet] the Fuel Resource Requirements and High Hazard Fuel Requirement.

  • Fuel Use during the Calendar Year is documented in the attached Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (“Annual Fuel Usage Log”), using the template provided by Buyer after execution of this Agreement.

  • Each monthly Reduction for Nonuse of Fuel Resource Category Fuel shall be calculated as follows: Reduction for Nonuse of Fuel Resource Category Fuel = Monthly XXX Payment x (F/G) Where: F = Fuel Use for the month not from a Fuel Resource Category in MMBTUs as attested to in the Multi-Fuel Report.

  • The Project shall achieve High Hazard Fuel Use according to the following percentages.

Fuel Use means the quantity of Gas Buyer must provide Columbia Gas under the Columbia FT Agreement and the Columbia IT Agreement, or which Buyer must provide to another of the Pipeline(s) at a Delivery Point, for company use, lost and unaccounted-for quantities as required under the effective FERC Gas Tariff of Columbia Gas Transmission or another of the Pipeline(s), as the case may be.

Related to Fuel Use

  • Alcohol use means the consumption of any beverage, mixture, or preparation, including any medication, containing alcohol.

  • Off-label use means the prescription and use of drugs for indications other than those stated in the labeling approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration.[PL 1997, c. 701, §1 (NEW).]

  • Commercial Use means the use to which the material can commercially be put.

  • Station Use means the electric energy produced by the Generating Facility that is used within the Generating Facility to power the lights, motors, control systems and other electrical loads that are necessary for Operation, including transformation losses to power such equipment and other necessary loads.

  • Routine use means the disclosure of a record without the consent of the subject or subjects, for a purpose which is compatible with the purpose for which the record was collected. It includes disclosures required to be made by statute other than the public records law, Iowa Code chapter 22.

  • Medical use means the intentional internal or external administration of radioactive material or the radiation from radioactive material to patients or human research subjects under the supervision of an authorized user.

  • Residential use means the use in or around a home, apartment building, sleeping quarters, and similar facilities or accommodations.

  • Ambient air means that portion of the atmosphere, external to buildings, to which the general public has access.

  • Industrial User means a nondomestic discharger, as identified in 40 CFR Part 403, introducing pollutants to a POTW.

  • Tobacco use means any use of tobacco products within the past two months. Tobacco use, however, does not include the religious or ceremonial use of tobacco.

  • Bulk gasoline plant means a gasoline storage and distribution facility with an average daily throughput of 20,000 gallons (76,000 liters) of gasoline or less on a 30-day rolling average.

  • Aboveground tank means a device meeting the definition of tank that is situated in such a way that the entire surface area of the tank is completely above the plane of the adjacent surrounding surface and the entire surface area of the tank (including the tank bottom) is able to be visually inspected.

  • Fuel burning equipment means any furnace, boiler, apparatus, stack and all associated equipment, used in the process of burning fuel.

  • Sewage sludge weight means the weight of sewage sludge, in dry U.S. tons, including admixtures such as liming materials or bulking agents. Monitoring frequencies for sewage sludge parameters are based on the reported sludge weight generated in a calendar year (use the most recent calendar year data when the NPDES permit is up for renewal).

  • Landfill cell means a discrete volume of a hazardous waste landfill which uses a liner to provide isolation of wastes from adjacent cells or wastes. Examples of landfill cells are trenches and pits.
