Fresh meat definition

Fresh meat means meat that has undergone no cooking, heating, or other processing except boning, cutting, comminuting, or freezing.
Fresh meat means meat that has not undergone any preserving process other than chilling, freezing or quick-freezing, including meat that is vacuum-wrapped or wrapped in a controlled atmosphere.
Fresh meat means fresh meat as defined in point 1.10 of Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004;

  • Fresh meat or fresh meat products sold to a consumer may not be offered to the public for resale for human consumption if the fresh meat or fresh meat products have been returned by the consumer.
