Division of the State Architect definition

Division of the State Architect or “DSA” shall mean that division of the State of California charged with providing design and construction oversight for K-12 schools, community colleges and various other state owned and leased facilities.
Division of the State Architect means the State office within the Department of General Services that reviews school building plans and specifications for structural, fire safety, and access compliance.

  • One or more Project Inspectors employed by the District and approved by the Division of the State Architect will be assigned to the work in accordance with the requirements of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations.

  • The Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits and governmental fees, licenses, and inspections necessary for proper execution and completion of the Work which are necessary after execution of the Contract and are legally required by any authority having jurisdiction over the Project, except those required by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).

  • The plans, drawings, and specifications at the end of the Construction Documents Phase that the Division of the State Architect (“DSA”) has approved and that the District can use to go out to bid for construction of the Project.

  • Landscape architect means a person who holds a license to practice landscape architecture in the state of California Business and Professions Code, Section 5615.

  • Architect means the person or other entity engaged by the PHA to perform architectural, engineering, design, and other services related to the work as provided for in the contract. When a PHA uses an engineer to act in this capacity, the terms “architect” and “engineer” shall be synonymous. The Architect shall serve as a technical representative of the Contracting Officer.   • Office of the Interconnection Control Center means the equipment, facilities and personnel used by the Office of the Interconnection to coordinate and direct the operation of the PJM Region and to administer the PJM Interchange Energy Market, including facilities and equipment used to communicate and coordinate with the Market Participants in connection with transactions in the PJM Interchange Energy Market or the operation of the PJM Region. On-Site Generators:

  • Commercial Services means any waste management service, relating or connected to accumulating, collecting, managing, recycling, sorting, storing, treating, transporting, disposing, buying or selling of waste or any other manner of handling waste excluding services rendered by the municipality;

  • Project Architect means the architect retained by Lessee to design and supervise construction of the Improvements.

  • Ward of the state means a child who has been committed to the Cabinet for Families and Children or the Department of Juvenile Justice through a legal process, whether the commitment is voluntary or non-voluntary and the biological or adoptive parental rights have been terminated.

  • Specialist means either a physician or other health care professional who practices in a specific area other than those practiced by primary care providers, or a properly licensed, certified or registered individual health care provider whose practice is limited to rendering mental health services. For purposes of cost-share, this definition of “specialist” does not apply to dentists. BCBSAZ does not require you to obtain an authorization or referral to see a specialist.

  • resident of a Contracting State means any person who, under the laws of that State, is liable to tax therein by reason of his domicile, residence, place of management or any other criterion of a similar nature, and also includes that State and any political subdivision or local authority thereof. This term, however, does not include any person who is liable to tax in that State in respect only of income from sources in that State.

  • janitorial services means those cleaning and caretaking services

  • Office of the Corporation means the executive office of the Corporation, anything in Section 131 of the General Corporation Law to the contrary notwithstanding.

  • Professional Engineer means a person entitled to practise as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario under a licence issued under the Professional Engineers Act;
