Each Quarterly Report must be signed by the Project Director or the Designated Alternate and submitted to Agency by the tenth day of the month following the close of each calendar quarter for the duration of the Grant Period.
Alternate means an alternate Director appointed under rule 4.1.
Designated Rate means the rate of interest per annum described in the Supplement as being applicable to an outstanding Loan from time to time.
Alternate Rate means, for any day, the sum of (a) a rate per annum selected by the Administrative Agent, in its reasonable discretion based on market conditions in consultation with the Company (and any applicable Subsidiary Borrower) and the relevant Lenders, plus (b) the Applicable Margin for Eurocurrency Loans. Alternate member means a person who is qualified under Iowa Code section 148.2A to substitute for a board member who is disqualified or becomes unavailable for any other reason for a contested case hearing. An alternate board member is deemed a member of the board only for the hearing panel(s) for which the alternate board member serves.
Alternative method means any method of sampling and analyzing for an air pollutant that is not a reference or equivalent method but that has been demonstrated to the satisfaction of the commissioner and the U.S. EPA to, in specific cases, produce results adequate for a determination of compliance.

Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Alternate Base Rate means, for any day, a rate per annum equal to the greater of (a) the Prime Rate in effect on such day and (b) the Federal Funds Effective Rate in effect on such day plus 1/2 of 1%. Any change in the Alternate Base Rate due to a change in the Prime Rate or the Federal Funds Effective Rate shall be effective from and including the effective date of such change in the Prime Rate or the Federal Funds Effective Rate, respectively.
Alternative fuel means natural gas, propane, ethanol, methanol, gasoline (when used in hybrid electric vehicles only), hydrogen, electricity, fuel cells, or advanced technologies that do not rely on diesel fuel. “Alternative fuel” also means any of these fuels used in combination with each other or in combination with other non-diesel fuels.

Participating Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist means a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Authorized Allocation means an amount equivalent to $1,000,000 to be withdrawn from the Loan Account and deposited in the Special Account pursuant to paragraph 3 (a) of this Schedule.
Alternative school means an environment established apart from the regular educational program and that includes policies and rules, staff, and resources designed to accommodate student needs and to provide a comprehensive education consistent with the student learning goals and content standards established by the school district or by the school districts participating in a consortium. Students attend by choice.
