Competent Authority definition

Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:
Competent Authority means authority nominated to exercise power of approval, sanction and acceptance concerning administrative, financial and technical aspects of transactions done on behalf of the Bank.
Competent Authority means Executive Director or Group General Manager or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager or BHEL Officers who are empowered to act on behalf of the Executive Director or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager of BHEL.

  • If any difficulties in the implementation or interpretation of this Agreement arise, any of the Competent Authorities of Switzerland or a Member State may request consultations between the Competent Authority of Switzerland and one or more of the Competent Authorities of Member States to develop appropriate measures to ensure that this Agreement is fulfilled.

  • Competent Authority shall notify the [FATCA Partner] Competent Authority when the U.S. Competent Authority has determined that there is significant non-compliance with the obligations under this Agreement with respect to a Reporting [FATCA Partner] Financial Institution.

More Definitions of Competent Authority

Competent Authority means any national or local agency, authority, department, inspectorate, minister, ministry official, parliament or public or statutory person (whether autonomous or not) of any government of any country having jurisdiction over either any of the activities contemplated by this Agreement or the Parties including the European Commission, the Court of First Instance and the European Court of Justice.
Competent Authority means such authority as may be notified by the Government;
Competent Authority means any supranational, national, regional, local or municipal government or regulatory authority, body, agency, court, ministry, inspectorate or department, or any official, public or statutory person or body, police, customs or port authority, in each case acting in accordance with its or their statutory or legal authority in any jurisdiction having authority over the Customer / ABP or having responsibility for the regulation or governance of any aspect of the performance of these Conditions and/or the Port and/or any activities carried out at the Port;
Competent Authority means any central government, provincial regional government, municipality regional government, other local authorities, the courts of law, or any other judicial/administrative authority having the jurisdiction over all or any of the matter arising from or involving this Agreement;
Competent Authority means the minister, government department or other authority having power to issue and enforce regulations, orders or other instructions having the force of law in respect of the subject matter of the provision concerned;
Competent Authority means the authority, designated by each Member State in accordance with Article 69, unless otherwise specified in this Directive;
Competent Authority means Managing Director of Nodal Agency, himself and/or a person or group of persons nominated by him for the mentioned purpose herein;
