Community Activity definition

Community Activity means the normal activities taking place within a local community to include residential, site preparation and construction, government, commercial, institutional, and industrial activities.

Community Activity means events that are sponsored in whole or in part by the City or conducted within the City and sponsored privately, which include but are not limited to fairs, bazaars, socials, picnics and organized sporting events that are open to the general public and will be attended by 200 or more individuals per day.

Community Activity means a service or activity carried on by a non-profit organization for the betterment of the community, and includes a patriotic, religious, charitable or civic event or cause or a business hosting an event for a non-profit organization when 80% or more of the proceeds are going to the non-profit group.

Examples of Community Activity in a sentence

• Fire Alarms Whittlesea Community Activity Centre is governed under regulations set out by the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) and/or the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

More Definitions of Community Activity

Community Activity shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4(b)(i).

Community Activity means a productive or social development activity under Part C of the Project;

Community Activity means an activity proposed by an Eligible Municipality as part of a PATI Subproject to be carried out with the participation of the PATI Participants, consisting of, inter alia: (a) community services, including activities of care-givers for the elderly, children, or disabled, as well as support to the provision of health and education services; (b) municipal services, including maintenance of buildings and cleaning of public spaces; or (c) small infrastructure projects, including rehabilitation, expansion of social infrastructure such as health centers, schools, and community centers, all such activities being eligible for financing under the PATI Program in accordance with the provisions of the Project Operational Manual.

Community Activity shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2(d) of Schedule 3 to Annex I. Compact shall have the meaning set forth in the Preamble. Compact Goal shall have the meaning set forth in Section 1.1.

Community Activity means programs and activities provided by applicantswhich help participants or users to strengthen personal or community life.

Community Activity means a public event that is organized or sponsored by a recognized nonprofit organization, Fraternal Organization, religious organization, or Government Body, for the purpose of raising awareness on an important issue or initiative, celebrating a civic holiday or historical event, or providing entertainment to the community. A Community Activity shall not include tourism related events or fundraisers.

Community Activity means programs and activities provided by the community association which help residents of the Town of Strathmore to strengthen personal or community life.
