Chief Stewards definition

Chief Stewards leave of absence with current pay, benefits and without loss of seniority will be granted to members of the Bargaining Committee for up to an aggregate total of twenty-four (24) hours per contract year, to deal with collective agreement related problems at worksites within the contract area. Further leaves will be granted as required per Clause 2.10(a)(2).

Examples of Chief Stewards in a sentence

  • The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the names of the Stewards and Chief Stewards and Alternate Stewards, with their jurisdictional areas as described above, as soon as possible after the effective date of this Agreement.
