Abused children definition

Abused children means the categories of children enumerated in N.J.S.A. 9:6-8.21.

Examples of Abused children in a sentence

  • Abused children, elderly persons, battered spouses, homeless persons, adults meeting the Bureau of Census definition of “severely disabled adults”, illiterate adults, persons living with AIDS, and migrant farm workers are presumed by HUD to be principally LMI.

  • They might be ordered to attend a clinic or hospital to deal with the problem.

  • Those groups are as follows: • Senior citizens (people who are 62 years of age or older) • Severely handicapped adults • Migrant farmworkers • Battered spouses • Abused children • Illiterate adults • Homeless persons • Persons with AIDS For Limited Clientele projects serving other persons, the benefit to low- and moderate-income persons must be documented by an income verification process and should include at least three (3) months of data.

  • Abused children are accorded privacy and other privileges to ensure that their best interests are looked after.

  • Abused children and young people will only tell people they trust and with whom they feel safe.

  • Any oral or written statement disseminated by a developer to broadcast or print media, other than paid advertising or promotional material, regarding plans for the acquisition or development of time-share property.

  • The following groups are presumed by HUD to meet this criterion: Abused children; battered spouses, elderly persons, severely disabled adults, homeless persons, illiterate adults, persons living with AIDS, and migrant farm workers.

  • PRESUMED CLIENTELE:The following clientele are presumed by HUD to be of low and moderate income:- Abused children- Elderly persons- Battered spouses- Homeless persons- Persons living with AIDS- Migrant farm workers- Adults meeting the Census definition of severely disabled Benefit to LMI Persons Thru Housing Activities – For projects that benefit an LMI household that is qualified based on data about household size and income.

  • Abused children, concerned adults and the general public can seek assistance and support from either the Behavioural Health Division of the Ministry of Health or the VOCA office.

  • Abused children are most often abused by their biological parents.

  • Children of military families means: a school-aged child(ren), enrolled in Kindergarten through Twelfth (12th) grade, in the household of an active duty member.

  • Sadomasochistic abuse means actual or explicitly simulated flagellation or torture by or upon a person who is nude or clad in undergarments, a mask or bizarre costume, or the condition of being fettered, bound or otherwise physically restrained on the part of one so clothed.

  • Descendant of an individual means all of his descendants of all generations, with the relationship of parent and child at each generation being determined by the definition of child and parent contained in this title.

  • Family abuse means any act involving violence, force, or threat that results in bodily injury or

  • Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Unborn child means the offspring of human beings from conception until birth.

  • Non-Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Narcotic drug means any of the following, whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable origin, or independently by means of chemical synthesis, or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis:

  • Family violence means conduct as defined by S.7 of the Family Violence Act 2004.

  • Alcohol means the intoxicating agent in beverage alcohol, ethyl alcohol, or other low molecular weight alcohols including methyl and isopropyl alcohol.

  • Minor child means a biological or adopted child of the

  • Son or daughter of a covered servicemember means a covered servicemember's biological, adopted, or foster child, stepchild, legal ward, or a child for whom the covered servicemember stood in loco parentis, and who is of any age.

  • Marriage and family therapist means a marriage and family therapist licensed by the board to practice marriage and family therapy as defined in division (G) of section 4757.01 of the Revised Code.

  • Child or covered child means a child (natural, step-child, legally adopted or a minor or disabled child who is dependent on the insured for support and maintenance) who is born to or brought to a marriage or to a civil union established according to Vermont law.

  • Victim of domestic violence means a person protected under this act and shall include any person who is 18 years of age or older or who is an emancipated minor and who has been subjected to domestic violence by a spouse, former spouse, or any other person who is a present or former household member. "Victim of domestic violence" also includes any person, regardless of age, who has been subjected to domestic violence by a person with whom the victim has a child in common, or with whom the victim anticipates having a child in common, if one of the parties is pregnant. "Victim of domestic violence" also includes any person who has been subjected to domestic violence by a person with whom the victim has had a dating relationship.
