VOTE/COPE. Effective July 1, 1999, the District shall deduct VOTE-COPE payments from teachers’ paychecks. The deduction authorization shall be in the form agreed to by both parties.

VOTE/COPE. Teachers may elect to participate in VOTE/COPE through payroll deduction.
VOTE/COPE. The District shall deduct from the payroll checks of individual unit members monies for VOTE/COPE. Each member who voluntarily elects to have such deduction shall sign an appropriate authorization card in triplicate. Funds so collected shall be forwarded directly to VOTE/COPE by the District and shall be accompanied by information required by applicable state or federal laws.

The Association assumes responsibility for the proper withholding of funds from bargaining unit members for VOTE/COPE, and shall save harmless the District for liability arising out of the withholding of such funds.

VOTE/COPE. The District will deduct a VOTE-COPE contribution from the salary of any bargaining unit member who authorizes the District to do so. The amount of VOTE-COPE contribution shall be set by the BTA and reported to the District in September of each year, together with the authorizations of each bargaining unit member who has elected to have deducted from his/her salary the VOTE-COPE contribution.
VOTE/COPE. ‌ Upon the receipt of the proper payroll authorization form indicating that the employee voluntarily and expressly authorizes such deductions, the District will deduct from the salary of an employee amounts designated for NYSUT Member Benefits and VOTE-COPE. The Association agrees to hold the District harmless in cases where the wrong amount of funds are transmitted.
