TEACHER RIGHTS. X. Xxxxxxxx to Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, the Board hereby agrees that every employee of the Board shall have the right freely to organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under the color of the law of the State of Michigan, the Board undertakes, and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 or other laws of Michigan or the Constitutions of Michigan and the United States; that it will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages or any term or condition of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association, his/her participation in any activities of the Association or collective professional negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this or otherwise with respect to terms or conditions of employment.

As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under the laws of the State of Michigan, the Board undertakes and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage, deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by the Act or other laws of Michigan; that it will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association, his/her participation in any activities of the Association of collective professional negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement or otherwise, with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.
TEACHER RIGHTS. 3.1 Nothing contained in this agreement shall be construed to deny any teacher, employed by a particular state agency, those rights provided under applicable Nebraska or Federal law. Rights granted to teachers herein shall be deemed to be in addition to those provided above unless said rights are legally modified or amended by this agreement.

Pursuant to the Michigan Public Employment Relations Act, MCL 423.201 et seq., the Board and the Association acknowledge that every teacher employed by the Board shall have the right freely to organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities authorized by the Act for mutual aid and protection or to refrain from doing so. The Board and the Association agree that they will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by this Act and that they will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages or any terms or condition of employment by reason of membership or non-membership in the Association, participation or non-participation in any lawful activities authorized by an act of the Association or in connection with collective bargaining negotiations between the Board and the Association or the institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.
TEACHER RIGHTS. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any teacher such rights as he or she may have under Montana School Laws or other state laws and regulations. However, this does not incorporate these laws and regulations into this contract.

TEACHER RIGHTS. Any teacher shall have the right to present grievances in accordance with these procedures and to be represented by the Association. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as limiting the right of any teacher having a grievance to discuss the matter informally with his/her immediate supervisor and having the grievance resolved, provided the resolution is consistent with the provisions of this Agreement.

TEACHER RIGHTS. A. The teachers shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship and no religious or political activities of any teacher, or the lack thereof, shall be grounds for any discrimination, with respect to the professional employment of such teacher. The private and personal life of any teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board, unless it has an adverse effect on the teacher’s ability to function in the classroom.
