Superintendent of Human Resources. Notwithstanding the above, one (1) personal leave day will be granted subject to the following: This day shall not be unreasonably withheld and shall not be used to extend any other type of leave i.e. Christmas or March break, summer holidays and, or statutory holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, Victoria Day weekends). The employee will be responsible for notifying his, her immediate supervisor. This day shall be counted as one of the maximum of five (5) days under 20.03

Superintendent of Human Resources. A leave not to exceed fifteen (15) calendar days shall be without any loss of pay, provided the Teacher on such military leave shall turn over to the District payment received for such services, and no deduction shall be made from the Teacher’s salary because of being on military leave up to fifteen (15) calendar days. Teachers on extended military leave are not paid for additional days, as the military pay will supersede any District pay. According to provisions contained in USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act), if the Teacher applies for reinstatement within the time periods provided by law, the Teacher will be reinstated. The pay of a reinstated Teacher shall be commensurate with the experience level the Teacher would have attained but for service in the military.

Whenever, in the sole discretion of the County, the Contractor is not providing a sufficient level of supervision, the County may direct the Contractor to increase the level of supervision for any or all projects, including but not limited to the right to direct the Contractor to assign a full time, dedicated Superintendent for any project; submit daily management, inspection, activity, and planning reports; substitute Subcontractors; submit daily photographs of the work in place and the work areas prepared for the next day’s work; and develop a site specific quality control program, all at no cost to the County. In the event the County’s personnel are required to provide direction or supervision of the work in the field because the Contractor has not provided sufficient supervision, the Contractor shall reimburse the County $150 per hour for such effort.

  • Superintendent Level If no settlement has been reached in Step 2 within the specified time limit, the employee and/or his/her designated Council representative may advance the grievance to Step 3 by submitting a copy of the written statement of grievance in appropriate form to the office of the superintendent within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the written disposition of grievance given by the Step 2 administrator. After such submission, the superintendent or designee shall have ten (10) calendar days to attempt to resolve the grievance. Within that time the superintendent or his/her designee shall indicate his/her disposition of the grievance on the grievance form and shall furnish a copy thereof to the employee and to the Council. If in the resolution process a meeting is held with the grievant in attendance, a representative of the Council shall be given an opportunity to attend.

  • Department of Health and Human Services An employee notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test. An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.

  • Superintendent's Duties The Superintendent’s duties shall be as prescribed by statute and by Board policies, rules, regulations and directives. The Superintendent agrees to devote the Superintendent’s time, skill, labor and attention to all required duties throughout the contract term. The Superintendent shall be subject to the direction and control of the Board at all times and shall perform such administrative duties as the Board assigns. By agreement with the Board, the Superintendent may undertake consultative work, speaking engagements, writing, lecturing, or other professional duties and obligations as long as they do not interfere with carrying out the Superintendent’s duties and obligations to the District.

  • Board-Superintendent Relationship The Board shall be primarily responsible for formulating and adopting policy. The Superintendent shall be the chief administrative officer for the district and shall be responsible for implementing Board policy. He shall organize the administrative and supervisory staff, and select, place, and transfer personnel with the concurrence of the Board. He is responsible for administering the instruction of students and the business affairs of the school district. The Board members agree, individually and collectively, to promptly refer all criticisms, complaints, and suggestions called to their attention to the Superintendent for action, study and/or recommendation, as appropriate.
