STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS. If statutory holidays, to which an employee is entitled with pay, occur within his or her vacation period, the employee shall be granted an additional day's vacation for each in lieu thereof.

(a) Work done on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Dominion Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day shall be paid for at triple time rates to both night and day shifts, and if no work is performed, straight time shall be paid. It is also understood that for the night or lobster shift, the statutory holidays mentioned above, or the days celebrated as such, will be celebrated the evening or night prior to said holidays or days celebrated as such. Substitutes and pressroom cleaners who are not regular full-time who have worked more than 50 per cent of the shifts in the four pay weeks preceding the holiday shall be entitled to compensation for the holidays as above provided. In addition to the holidays mentioned above, members shall be granted 2 floating days off each year with full pay to be taken at a time mutually agreed upon between the member and the Union subject to the approval of the xxxxxxx such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. If any new holiday such as "Heritage Day" is legislated to be a public holiday, it will be added to the list of statutory holidays listed above.

STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS. 19.01 The Board recognizes the following holidays for D.E.C.E.’s: New Year’s Day Family Day Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day In lieu of Remembrance Day, one (1) additional holiday for D.E.C.E.’s. This additional day is to be taken during the Christmas holidays. Payment will be based on the employee’s regular working hours.
