Status of the Parties. 2.1 The type of Personal Data processed pursuant to this DPA and the subject matter, duration, nature and purpose of the processing, and the categories of data subjects, are as described in Annex 1.

Status of the Parties. 2.1 The relationship between the parties is that of independent organisations, as each party is a separate corporation sole. Nothing in this MOU shall create or be deemed to create a partnership of agency, franchise or employment between the parties.
Status of the Parties. Nothing in this Contract shall be construed to constitute either party as a joint venturer, co-venturer, joint lessor, joint operator or partner of the other. In performing services pursuant to this Contract, Seller is acting solely as an independent contractor maintaining complete control over its employees and operations. Unless otherwise provided in this Contract, neither HECO nor Seller is authorized to take any action in any way whatsoever for or on behalf of the other.
Status of the Parties. 1. Neither Party nor its personnel shall be considered as an official, agent, employee, representative or joint partner of the other Party. Neither Party shall enter into any contract or commitment on behalf of the other Party.
Status of the Parties. 2.1 Recipient will act independently of Novo Nordisk and shall perform in its own name and for its own account for all purposes and at all times. The Parties acknowledge that the relationship between them is that of independent contrac- tors, and not that of employer and employee, nor principal and agent, nor part- ners in a joint venture, nor any similar relationship whatsoever. Neither Party shall exercise control over the business or activities of the other Party, and nei- ther Party is granted any right or authority to assume or to create any obligation or responsibility, express or implied, on behalf of, or in the name of the other Par- ty, or in any other way to act on behalf of, or to bind, the other Party.
Status of the Parties. It is expressly understood and agreed that in the performance of services under this Agreement, Consultant shall, at all times, be an independent contractor with respect to the Company, and not an agent, officer or employee of the Company. Further, it is expressly understood and agreed by the Parties that nothing contained in this Agreement is intended to create a joint venture, partnership, association or other affiliation or like relationship between the Parties. In no event shall either Party be liable for the debts or obligations of the other Party. Consultant understands that it will not be treated as an employee for Federal tax purposes and that Consultant shall be responsible for all taxes, Social Security and FICA payments and withholding. Consultant shall not be entitled or eligible to receive xxxxxxx’x compensation insurance, disability or unemployment insurance benefits or any other employee benefits offered by the Company to its employees.

This Agreement, in and of itself, does not constitute, create or give effect to or otherwise establish a joint venture agreement, partnership, or any other business or organization. Unless provided by the terms of another agreement consistent with the governing regulations, the Parties are and shall remain independent contractors.
