Site Services and Facilities. Provided by the Employer The Employer will provide in the way of water, waste disposal, ablutions, fire protection and lighting (etc) on the Affected Property. Power will be provided by the Employer the Contractor needs to ensure his own cabling, connections, DB Boards and CoC certificates of installations and connections. Refuse Disposal The Employer provides special colour coded bins for refuse disposal. These bins are emptied by the Employer free of charge. The Contractor ensures that all workers under his control strictly adhere to the correct use of refuse bins as stated in the Plant. Supply of Electricity - Employer will make available to the Contractor 220/230-volt electrical supply free of charge from the closest existing point of supply. - The Contractor is to make provision for the necessary extensions and plug points. - All Electrical boards must be inspected and tested before connecting to a power supply and then a CoC must be issued by the Contractor - The Contractor will adhere to the Electrical Installation Regulations of 1992 Medical Facilities - The Contractor provides a First Aid service to his employees and subcontractor. In the case where these prove to be inadequate, like in the event of a serious injury, the Employer’s Medical Centre and facilities are available. - Outside the Employer’s office hours, the Employer’s First Aid Services are only available for serious injuries and life threatening situations. - The Employer is entitled, however, to recover the costs incurred, in the use of the above Employer’s facilities, from the Contractor.

Site Services and Facilities. The Employer ensures safe isolation of the vessels at all times. The Employer supplies water for the water spray system. A Site for the Contractor’s yard will be provided within reasonable access to the works (the exact position will be determined on Site). The Contractor is responsible for further treatment of the yard area that he considers necessary. The Contractor’s layout of its yard is subject to approval by the Employer. The Contractor never occupies areas other than that allocated to him. On completion of the works, the yard and all areas allocated to the Contractor are re-instated to their former condition to the satisfaction of the Employer.
Site Services and Facilities.  The Employer provides no services or facilities other than suitable and available Site areas and existing service roads.  The Contractor temporarily ties into the existing water and electricity supplies for construction purposes at the Contractor’s own cost.  The Contractor shall provide usage metering for monitoring purposes.  The Contractor shall refer to the Employers drawings for the geographical location of the temporary tie-in points and take note of the distances to the work sites.  The Contractor shall inspect the potential connection points during the site visit and shall provide a method statement for the tie-in for acceptance by the Employer.  Wherever the Employer provides facilities for the Contractor’s use within the Working Areas, then the Contractor makes good and provides full reinstatement to the land (including all apparatus of the Employer and Others in, on or under the land) and surrounding areas to its original standard upon dismantling of such facilities and hand- back to the Employer.

The Contractor shall not occupy any area on site other than what’s allocated to him. The contractor shall supply all plant and materials to complete the works. Water and electricity is normally available on site. The contractor shall provide all connections, extensions and additional supply points necessary for the works. Adequate and/or continuous supply is not guaranteed and no claims for delay or standing time as a result of insufficiencies or failures will be considered. Any measures which the contractor may require to maintain continuity and quality of supply shall be arranged by him at his own expense. Water is used at their own risk and testing is for contractors own account. The contractor will supply their own office equipment, including telephones and fax machines.

Site Services and Facilities. The Contractor shall provide on Site a minimum of one well illuminated, insulated and ventilated site office for utilisation by the Employer / Project Manager or their representatives. This site office shall have as a minimum the following: • A Suitable water supply and sanitary facilities (chemical toilet). • First aid facilitiesTelecommunication facilities (down loading of electronic communications and printing of it) • Access to Eskom website to download latest information. • 1 x Table, 10 x chairs required and a suitable office required to hold a site meeting. • Site diary.

The Contractor provides and maintains an electrical distribution system (including temporary wiring, cabling, distribution boards, protection, metering etc.) to lead power from the Employer’s supply point, to where it is required. On Completion the Contractor removes all such temporary distribution systems (included as part of the Work Plan). As required The Project Manager reserves the right to stop the Contractor’s use of any electrical equipment or appliance that in the Project Manager’s opinion does not conform to the foregoing.
