Parent Complaints Against Professional Staff Members. 26.05.1 The BOARD and ASSOCIATION recognize that it is important that parents and members of the community feel comfortable bringing complaints and concerns to the attention of staff administration, and the BOARD. While the ADMINISTRATION will make reasonable efforts to persuade parents and members of the community to first speak with the Professional Staff Member regarding specific complaints or concerns, it is not possible to mandate a strict procedure for such complaints or concerns.

Parent Complaints Against Professional Staff Members. 26.05.1 Communications between the community and the school ideally should be such that most complaints may be resolved through personal conferences at the school level. Various avenues of contact between Professional Staff Member, pupil, parent, Principal and other appropriate staff personnel should be pursued before using the formal procedures outlined below. If such conferences do not lead to understanding and resolution of problems involved, a parent may pursue further action by submitting a written complaint against a Professional Staff Member to the Building Principal. The Principal shall give a copy to the Professional Staff Member.

Various avenues of contact between Certified School Psychologist, pupil, parent, principal, and other appropriate staff personnel should be pursued before using the formal procedures outlined below. If such conferences do not lead to understanding and resolution of problems involved, a parent may pursue further action by submitting a written complaint against a Certified School Psychologist to the Building Administrator of the school where the incident, which initiated the complaint, occurred. The principal shall give one copy to the Certified School Psychologist and forward a second copy to the Director of Psychological Services.

  • Complaints Against Teachers When a person makes a written or verbal complaint against a teacher, the principal or designee shall promptly notify the teacher of the complaint, the identity of the complainant, and the teacher shall be given the opportunity to respond. The principal or designee shall investigate the complaint and attempt to resolve the complaint informally if appropriate.

  • Complaints Against Employees Any complaint against an employee that may lead to disciplinary action shall be promptly called to the attention of the employee. No complaint against an employee may be used in a disciplinary action against that employee unless the complaint was discussed with the employee in a timely fashion.

  • Investigation of Grievances The investigation of grievances shall not interfere with the orderly process of education in District 281.

  • Public Complaints All complaints submitted by the public shall be reduced to writing by the Complainant. No Employee shall be accused of committing an act until a proper and adequate investigation has taken place. Should the complaint prove to be valid, then the Employee shall be remitted with a copy of such complaint. If requested the Complainant shall be made known in confidence to the Chair of the applicable Bargaining Unit of CUPE and its Local 4705.

  • Complaints Investigation ‌ An employee who complains of harassment under the provisions of the Human Rights Code of British Columbia may refer the complaint to either one or other of the following processes:

  • Management Grievance The Employer may initiate a grievance at Step 3 of the grievance procedure by the Employer or designate presenting the grievance to the President of the Union or designate. Time limits and process are identical to a union grievance.

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Office of Inspector General Investigative Findings Expert Review In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 531.102(m-1)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Covenant Against Discrimination Consultant covenants that, by and for itself, its heirs, executors, assigns, and all persons claiming under or through them, that there shall be no discrimination against or segregation of, any person or group of persons on account of race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry or other protected class in the performance of this Agreement. Consultant shall take affirmative action to insure that applicants are employed and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry or other protected class.

  • Grievance on Layoffs and Recalls Grievances concerning layoffs and recalls shall be initiated at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.
