Oath of Office. Members of the Authority Board, the Executive Committee, and the Chancellor, prior to entering upon the duties of office, shall take and subscribe to the constitutional oath of office under Section 1 of Article XI of the State Constitution of 1963. The oath of office shall be filed with the Secretary of State.

Principle: All police officers of the Lakewood Police Department, prior to achieving sworn officer status, will take an oath of office to enforce the laws of the City of Lakewood, the State of Washington, and to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the State of Washington.
