If, because of unavoidable circumstances, one cannot cover the other, the Manager must be notified to book coverage. Such advancement of vacation shall be subject to the efficient operations of the nursing home and provided that such advanced vacation shall not conflict with any other normal vacation period which has already been scheduled. The advance vacation payment shall not exceed vacation accrued to the pay period immediately the of the vacation. The advance vacation payment shall be deducted from the annual vacation which would be payable following the May cut-off date or upon termination. Any overpayment of advance vacation may be recovered by the Employer Payment of vacation pay for part-time and relief nurses shall be the last pay in May.

Illness    Vacation. There are no adjustments or refunds for any days missed for illness, vacation or holidays. Rates have been calculated to include closures. The rates are fixed and tuition income is calculated by enrollment; therefore tuition credit cannot be given for any missed time.
