Emergency Leave Day. One (1) day leave per Agreement year without loss of pay may be taken with the approval of the employee's supervisor and/or appointing authority when it is necessary that the employee be off work in the event of a serious illness or accident of a member of the immediate family or when it is necessary that the employee be off work in the event of an unforeseen occurrence with respect to the employee's household (e.g., fire or flood or ongoing loss of power) that necessitates action on the part of the employee. The emergency leave benefit must also be available to the member in the event of inclement weather or natural disaster within the City limits or within the city or county in which the member resides that makes it impossible or unsafe for the member to physically commute to their normal work site at the start of their normal shift.

Emergency Leave Day. (a) All full-time personnel will be entitled to one (1) emergency leave day per year. Each request shall be considered and approved at the discretion of the SupervisorAdministrator. Emergency leave days not used in the current school year will be added to sick day entitlement.
Emergency Leave Day. For each subsequent approved Short Term Disability Claim, the Emergency days used will be based on a one (1) day usage or the duration of the waiting period whichever is greater. The parties agree to review this letter at the next round of bargaining.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.

  • Emergency Service Leave ‌ Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from the Provincial Emergency Program or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay. If any remuneration, other than for expenses, is received, it shall be remitted to the Employer.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations other than personal illness beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.

  • Emergency Days Up to two (2) emergency days during a school year for uncontrollable emergency situations, subject to the written approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.

  • Qualifying Exigency Leave In the event that a member of the employee’s immediate household is called to covered active duty, such as a short notice deployment (i.e., deployment within seven or less days of notice), the employee will be granted time off to address necessary family matters in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

  • Emergency Services Leave 6.17.1 Subject to operational requirements, paid leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee who is an active volunteer member of State Emergency Service, St Xxxx Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Xxxx Fire Brigades, Volunteer Marine Rescue Services Groups or FESA Units, in order to allow for attendances at emergencies as declared by the recognised authority.

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Emergency Work Employees who are required to report for emergency work on non- workdays, or outside of their regular hours of work on a scheduled workday or on holidays which they are entitled to have off, shall be paid overtime compensation for the actual work time and for travel time in connection therewith, but such travel time shall not exceed one-half (1/2) hour.

  • Emergency Overtime In the event of an emergency as defined in Section 13.15 notwithstanding the terms of this Article, the Agency Head or designee may assign someone to temporarily meet the emergency requirements, regardless of the overtime distribution.

Mail Administrator Your original repair bill along with the technician’s report and a copy of the Agreement to the address at the top of this Agreement for reimbursement. All coverage and exclusions in this Agreement will apply.
