Disability Review. The Employer shares the concern of the Union and employees over the need to expeditiously and confidentially process disability leave claims. The Employer and the Union shall review such concerns as time frames, paper flow, and possible refinement of procedural mechanisms for disability claim approval.
Disability Review. The Employer shall cooperate with the Department of Administrative Services to ensure that applications for disability leave benefits are handled in an expeditious and confidential manner.
Disability Review. The Employer shares the concern of the Union and the bargaining unit employees over the need to expeditiously and confidentially process disability leave claims. Therefore, the Employer retains the right to approve benefits for the standard recovery period for a select list of disabilities. If the employee does not return to work following a standard recovery period, and submits additional information, the employee's claim may be processed through the Department of Administrative Services' review process. To the extent practicable, the Employer shall consider transitional return to work alternatives.
