Department Meetings. Meetings shall be held no less than once per term during the academic year. Special department meetings may be called by the Department Chair and must be called upon the request of one-fourth (1/4) or more of the full-time faculty members in the department. In matters exclusively affecting graduate programs, voting will be restricted to members of the graduate faculty. Through department meetings and memoranda, the Department Chair shall attempt to keep the department faculty informed of University developments that are relevant to the department.

Department Meetings. One period every six school weeks shall be allowed for departmental meetings during the school day, provided that this does not necessitate the dismissal of students or cancellation of classes.
Department Meetings. Part-time faculty employed for either the regular fall or regular spring semester shall attend at least one department meeting per semester as part of their semester assignment. If department meetings are always held at times that conflict with the faculty member’s other employment, department chairs or the appropriate academic administrator may excuse the faculty member from this requirement. Department Meetings. The Employer will not mandatorily require an employee to attend more than six (6) department meetings per calendar year which are outside of the employee’s regularly scheduled hours. This limitation shall not apply to continuing education, training, or other education meetings which are offered to all bargaining unit employees or are required to maintain basic competency in the specialty, e.g., fetal monitoring, ACLS, Dysrhythmia.
