ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP AND CHECKOFF. Section 13.1 On the effective date of this agreement, each employee subject to this agreement, and each employee hired after the effective date of this agreement shall, as a condition of employment, become members of the Association within 30 work days of the effective date of this agreement or within 30 work days of the hire date, whichever is applicable. Such employee shall then maintain membership in the Association in good standing during the period of this agreement.
