APPLICABLE CODES AND ORDINANCES. The Landlord, as part of the rental consideration, agrees to comply with all codes and ordinances applicable to the ownership and operation of the building in which the rented space is situated and to obtain all necessary permits and related items at no cost to the Postal Service. When the Postal Service or one of its contractors (other than the Landlord) is performing work at the premises, the Postal Service will be responsible for obtaining all necessary and applicable permits, related items, and associated costs. 6.
APPLICABLE CODES AND ORDINANCES. The Landlord shall comply with all codes and ordinances applicable to the ownership and operation of the Building and Property without regard to the Postal Service tenancy and to obtain all necessary building permits, certificates of occupancy, and similar related items at no cost to the Postal Service. The Postal Service agrees (i) to comply with all applicable codes and ordinances to the operations of the Postal Service at the Premises, to the extent enforceable against the Postal Service, and (ii) when the Postal Service or one of its contractors (other than Landlord) is performing work at the Premises, the Postal Service will be responsible for obtaining applicable permits and related items and to pay the associated costs. Nothing herein shall be construed as a waiver of the Postal Service’s sovereign immunity. 2.
